What is Urology?

Urology is a medical specialty that focuses on diseases and conditions of the male and female urinary tract as well as the male reproductive system. You may be referred to see a urologist if a condition is suspected that relates to your bladder, urethra, ureters, kidneys or adrenal glands. Urologists use both nonsurgical and surgical methods to treat problems such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, incontinence, prostate cancer and other disorders.

For a referral to an urologist who practices at Beachwood Medical Center, call the Best of Health Line at 800-454-9800.
